Having spent the morning on the city walking tour with Caron, we were highly delighted to turn up for the street art tour to find our that she was our guide again and as an added bonus she also designed the tour!!
Some of the beautiful artwork was clear to see but Caron took us under the railway bridge to see the 2 sides of street art........one side done with the permission of the local council and one side done without permission.
We went down to the water front where we were shown the creative designs by local artists and then on the site of the Clutha where each outside panel was covered in art by a different artist. Plus on the wall of the building behind was a picture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Caron explained the reasoning behind the murals for Sir Billy Connolly, talked in detail about the artists and made the whole tour a wonderful experience.
