The staff was awesome, I remember being so scared that i wasnt going to do it and they actually talked me in to going and said it would be one of the best thing I have ever done and I would regret it if I didn't go and they were right.

My family of 6 (all adults) had a great 1/2 day trip. I chose Whitewater Rafting LLC because they had some of the best reviews and were easy to contact via text with good response turn around time answering my questions. We drove 45 minutes from Vail. The crew at the check in desk was very professional and we had no problems. They rent or have items to purchase for any gear you may need for the trip. Prior to departing they give some good instruction. This was our first time on Class III rapids and although we were a little nervous at the beginning we could tell that our guide Nate was very experienced. He was an excellent guide giving us easy instructions and made us feel comfortable and safe. The Class III rapids were within the first 30 minutes of our 2.5 hr trip and were really fun. The next 2 hours were nice, but there wasn't much "rapid" excitement. We weren't interested in swimming in the river, but we did stop at some hot springs along the river which was unique. Nate engaged all of us with his comic stories as well as provided a great history overview of the Glenwood Canyon and Colorado River formation. I"d highly recommend Nate to be your guide. We'd come back to do the Class III rapids again if we could do that section of the river twice or three times and skip the Class II /I section of the river. We enjoyed this experience which has us excited to try Class IV rapids in a next adventure.

This was our 4th half-day rafting trip with Glenwood Springs Whitewater Rafting LLC, this time with our 6 year old (whose 20-something older siblings loved GSWR when they were his age) and it was again outstanding. Nate was our fantastic raft captain and kept our son squealing with excitement throughout the trip. Can't wait to do it again! The entire Whitewater Rafting staff is incredible from the moment you arrive until you leave.
