On this exclusive private excursion you will get to know the different faces and landscape types of Gran Canaria in a short time. Gran Canaria is not called a miniature continent for nothing. It goes from the desert, the dunes in the south over the dry canyons through picturesque villages up to the center with fragrant pine forests. On the north side, the green and vegetated part of the island awaits us with chestnut groves, remains of the laurel forest and an interesting cultural landscape. Also the culinary should not be neglected, we enjoy typical specialties of the Canarian cuisine at lunchtime.

    Next up is the beautiful town of Tejeda, in the center of Gran Canaria. Some time ago it was voted one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. In addition, Tejeda is known for its almond specialties, which we are happy to try. Every year, at the beginning of February, the Almond Blossom Festival also takes place there.

    Cruz de Tejeda, past the old crossroads and on to the green north side of Gran Canaria.

    The landscape and especially the vegetation changes completely. From the rather dry center and south of the island we come down through fragrant pine forests through chestnut groves and the last remnants of the laurel forests of Gran Canaria. The destination is the pilgrimage site of Teror, known for its pedestrian streets with many wooden balconies and the imposing church. We enjoy the time in town and stroll through the old streets around the church square.

Jörg holte unsere kleine Gruppe (6 Personen) direkt vor dem Hafenausgang ab. Er zeigte uns wunderschöne Orte auf der Insel. So machten wir einige Stopps in Arcuas, Teror, Artenara und Agaete. Bei der Tourengestaltung war Jörg sehr flexibel und wir konnten unsere Wünsche für die Tour einbringen. Es gab für uns ein leckeres Mittag in Artenara, ein Stopp bei Los Charcones und einen Abstecher auf die Kaffeeplantage in Agaete. Wir waren mit dem Ausflug sehr zufrieden und würden jederzeit wieder einen Ausflug mit Jörg unternehmen.

Wir haben schon einige Wanderungen mit Jörg gemacht. Die vorgeschlagene Tour bestätigte sich mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Einfach empfehlenswert die Touren mit Jörg da er nur mit kleinen Gruppen unterwegs ist. Er kümmert sich um jeden und hat sehr viel Insider Wissen. Das Nächste Mal sind wir wieder dabei.

Am 25.1.23 haben ich bei herrlichem frühlingshaften Wetter eine ca.11 km lange, sehr abwechslungsreiche Rund-Wanderung mit Jörg vorbei an diversen Höhlenwohnungen, beginnender Mandelbaumblüte zum/beim Chirastausee in einer kleiner Gruppe gemacht. Durch die kleine Gruppe war es eine sehr individuelle Wanderung, die sich auch nach der jeweiligen Kondition der Teilnehmer richtete. Auch eine spontane Änderung, die die Wetterlage erforderlich machte, war möglich. Wenn man sich bei ihm rechtzeitig - eventuell schon vor Urlaubsbeginn - per Mail für eine Wanderung anmeldet, dann klappt es auch mit dem gewünschten Termin und es steht einer schönen entspannten Wanderung mit Jörg im Urlaub nichts im Weg. Das einem Hintergrundwissen über Land und Leute in deutsch vermittelt wird, finde ich sehr positiv. Als Wiederholungstäter, werde ich gerne nächstes Jahr wieder mit ihm wandern.
