We start the tour with delicious local tapas and tastings in the historic centre of Granada. Your Food Sherpa will lead you to some typical businesses in the city. At the first stop we try two contemporary dishes. At this restaurant we dispell some urban myths about Spanish food. Information that will be handy for you over the rest of your stay in Andalucia. At the second stop we taste more traditional food prepared in a hidden restaurant well-loved by locals. Our final stop on the route is a classic restaurant in Granada, trading since 1976. Here we try two dishes and a traditional dessert ending our experience on a sweet note. Then we head to the best flamenco venue in Granada. In a one hour show we get to experience the passion and drama of real flamenco. This intimate tablao has professional dancers, passionate singers and impressive guitarists.

I’ve travelled a lot and taken more than a few “local” tours. This was far and away the best local experience I’ve ever had! Could I have found tapas on my own? Of course, but left to my own devices I would have made comfortable choices and had just an okay experience. Our stops on the tour offered creative expressions of local foods, and I was glad I had the opportunity to sample and savor! The flamenco show was a grand exhibition of dance, custom and music without the fancy stage dressing that tends to overwhelm some performances aimed at tourists. I especially loved that this tour is small group. There were four of us and our host. Was like an evening out with friends, plus a charming and knowledgeable host who really made this fun and informative. All in all an outstanding experience!

I would have given SIX stars but there were only 5!!! AWESOME!!!! I don’t know where to begin; The tapas tour would have been an awesome experience, but then we ended up at the Flemenco show. The performance was as good as any large venue performance I have ever seen. Yet it was in an intimate setting. EXTREMELY talented musicians and performers. 10 Stars!!!!!

Really fun tour with fantastic food and drinks topped off with a powerful flamenco show. Our guide, Molly, was knowledgeable, fun, and a joy to speak with and really made the tour extra special. Even after the end of the tour, she followed up with all summary of all that we ate, saw and learned, which was really appreciated!
