Five bubbles to Adam, our walking tour leader. He engaged with each person on the tour, and was funny and fun. When we travel anywhere, we usually book a walking food tour. We visited NYC with our grandson and took the Greenwich Village tour.
Discovering Washington Square Park (we returned and our grandson, Leo played 3 chess games, winning 2-1 ) was worth every penny. I also interacted with an older couple as we passed Trattoria Peche Pasta, who told me they’d been eating there for years. We returned the next night for a memorable dinner there. We also returned for a lunch at Bleecker Street Pizza.
We like to learn about the background and history of the areas we visit. Adam gave us this, and the chess, lunch and dinner experience.
Personally, I thought two pizza choices and two dessert choices was overkill, as did my husband. Leo ate everything with gusto. I believe the 7 Aussies on the tour felt the same as we older folks. I expected a NYC bagel. Perhaps more variety would be beneficial to the tour for some of us.
