The booking fee includes the costs of booking your tickets such as charges for payment processing. It also covers the provision of our customer care center for processing your order, and all charges imposed by our suppliers.

The home lunch program introduces Hungarian cuisine and turns it into a real personal travel experience. For lunch we will serve you a complete Hungarian meal, along with some good Hungarian wine!

Please note that we reserve the right, if necessary, to cancel the home lunch even the day of the lunch/dinner. Because of the personal nature of this activity things occasionally may come up that prevent the hosts being able to provide the lunch. However, this rarely happens and we do our best to provide the home meal!

This is a private meal: only you and the hosts are there (and your guide).
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Wow! Want to feel like a true local? Book this! Driver/interpreter was amazing, had a family connection to our hosts which made it even more interesting hearing all of their history. We felt like their family by the end of it. Food was superb, made with love. I want to go back and just hang out on the couch with them!

The host couple had a very young baby and honestly weren’t really ready to host tourists, again. We did have some interesting conversations but the mum looked a little frazzled and kept disappearing. I felt sorry for her as she had clearly been pressured into hosting, this night. Also, make sure that your dietary requirements are clearly communicated.

Our Hungarian dinner with locals was great. A nice young couple with a baby. Food was great. The pickup and return to our hotel was very unique and greatly appreciated. A highlight of our visit to Budapest.
