Half Day Dubai City Sightseeing Tour with Pick up

We saw many of the sites in just under 4 hours comfortable air con car but driver couldn’t speak English that well and I couldn’t understand him. He told me to get out look around and he’d pick me up at a certain point in 10 mins at each sight. Was hot but would have preferred more direction and information about each site.

Great tour, with great guides. Very interesting to see old and new Dubai and get insight in to everyday live in Dubai.

First visit was the spice market and after being told this was the poor working people part of town I was taken immediately on arrival to the fist spice shop as you approach the market. I had no intention of buying anything except maybe a souvenir of some kind for the wife. The Iranian shop owner was very friendly and offered tea and chocolate before proceeding to bring out the saffron spice. I must be the only person in the world that doesn't know what saffron is or how much it costs. Unfamiliar with the exchange rate and not to worried about it as I was in what essentially was a flea market I purchased several small items including two small jars saffron spice . We carried on with the tour which wasn't very interesting I figured out I had just spent 300$ at the spice market. I asked the guide to take me back there and the driver got lost getting there and they rushed me for time despite being told the tour would end at 2.30 and that being changed to 1.30. Disenchanted with it all I told them to drop me back at my hotel which they did at noon! All I can say more is dont bother with this tour.
