Here you can enjoy kayaks, visit the famous Balandra stone, go hiking to the viewpoint, swim in the sea and / or relax and enjoy paradise under an umbrella.

  • Playa Tecolote, Mexico
    Playa el tecolote is the second beach where they go down to meet. This beach is named for its owl-shaped mountain and is the longest commercial beach in the region. Here you can walk, swim, visit its restaurants, take photos, do jetsky, paddleboard and enjoy the natural spectacle of its seagulls.

Very good tour that takes you to 6 beautiful beaches in La Paz. We were picked up at the time set by our guide Rafael who gave us very good attention at all times and took amazing photos, all the beaches were in excellent condition and we had the opportunity to spend a good amount of time in each of them.

Balandra is a must see, the tour is very organized, our tour guide Cesar was very informative, and helpful, before getting to balandra beach they took us to a lil beach for photos, and then to the pearl factory where they gave us the history of how LA Paz gets their pearls made.

If you are coming in on a cruise ship they will pick you up at port but there’s an extra $15 port fee that you pay when you’re picked up. Also if you don’t plan to have phone service make sure to communicate that ahead of time as well as that you will be waiting outside the cruise terminal building. Juan was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable and friendly but not overly talkative. We requested to spend as much time at Balandra as possible and he accommodated. We made a quick stop at Playa Tesoro (since we prefer they calm secluded water and beaches). Then we were able to spend 4+ hours wading in Balandra Bay and hiking the trails. Juan set up a table, chairs, and lunch for us in a shades cave and gave us recommendations on where to go to avoid the crowd. Although with a max of 400 people allowed in it was crowded and it you don’t mind a little walk you can have all the space you want. If you go to La Paz book this tour and if you want to research the beaches listed they will let you customize your stops!
