    Great visibility and an abundance of coral reefs and marine life in the waters off Mnemba Island make it a delight for snorkeling. Mnemba Channel is also famous for Scuba Diving. Barracuda and Kingfish are plentiful. For the fly fisherman; Bonefish are to be found in the waters directly in front of the Hotel. Hop aboard a motorized boat with uber-renowned Captain who will take guests wanting to fish, or snorkel to the very best spots for these activities.

I contacted Chichi in the morning and within an hour he was at our hotel to collect us. We had the opportunity to snorkel in beautiful clear water, swim with the dolphins, touch starfish, and stop to enjoy freshly cut fruit at Mnemba island. We were 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 11), and we all enjoyed ourselves. Duration of trip was about 4 hours

We swam with dolphin!!! Of note, the tour states 4hrs, but they will go over to ensure you get a chance to swim with dolphin - which we did! Just make sure you have the time as they may go up to 6hrs while looking for dolphin, then they’ll ride over so you can jump out of the boat and swim with them! It’s really amazing. The atoll at Mnemba island is gorgeous and the water is amazing. We often do snorkeling trips on vacation and there were loads of fish, many of which we hadn’t gotten to see before. The crew were lovely and the fruit was cut fresh while on the boat. They arranged travel for us(for a reasonable extra cost), which was helpful as they depart out of Nungwi beach on the northern tip of the island.

Pas de dauphin car marée haute et pas de baignade sur le lagon de Mnemba. Personnel très gentil mais peu investi. Dommage qu’on ne nous ait pas proposé d’y aller le matin
