We will take you to the countryside and away from the light pollution. All our guides have many years of experience with Northern Light tours, they will find the most promising places to see the Aurora Borealis according to the weather forecast. Your knowledgeable guide will help you with setting up your camera, explain all the science and tales behind the Northern Lights. To complete your Icelandic experience you will have a chance to try traditional pastry. We will also make sure that you keep warm during the hunt with blankets and hot chocolate. Please note that this tour is heavily dependent on the weather. If your tour is canceled, you can reschedule for a different day (subject to availability) or receive a full refund. In case of an unsuccessful tour, you can join us again free of charge (subject to availability).

    It's hard to describe the feeling when you watch the Northern Lights dancing in the sky. It is definitely an experience of a lifetime. With that being said, we created this Northern Light tour to increase the chances for you to witness Iceland's natural phenomenon. The group size on this tour is a maximum of 19 people and all our guides are advised to find places where we can avoid big crowds. Warm and cozy blankets are on board to keep you warm while waiting for the lights. Hot chocolate and Icelandic "Kleina" add up to the experience. We want this experience to be as personal as it can be. Once we found a good spot, we will jump out of the car and prepare our cameras. Of course, your knowledgeable guide can assist you with the camera settings in case you need help.

Third time lucky! Our trip was cancelled twice, rescheduled and finally on third night we managed to see the lights. Pick up chaos, running from one bus to another. Drive in a minibus out of Reykjavik to a dark spot and you wait for lights to show up. You definitely need good camera to capture them as you don't see them with naked eyes. Overall good experience and glad we managed to see them

Viator’s partner EastWest tours was great. Our tour guide taught us about the three elements needed to have northern lights. We searched a good bit even though the conditions were not ideal. It was clear and dark but the solar activity was not conducive. He was very funny and sang songs and we did a Northern a light dance to get the lights to “turn on”. They finally came late after much trolling around. Our guide was funny and made the experience so enjoyable. The hot cocoa and donuts were a plus
