The Fátima phenomenon is bigger than the town and the country and we start the journey by visiting the three shepherds' houses at the town of Aljustrel, four kilometers away from the Sanctuary. Those were the family residences of Lúcias dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco, the three shepherds that witnessed the apparitions of the virgin in 1917. Heading next to the Sanctuary where there is a lot to visit, mainly the Little chapel of the apparitions, built at the exact place where the apparitions took place, and two Basilicas: Our Lady of the Rosary, that as the shepherds thumbs inside, and the Holy Trinity Basilica, one of the biggest catholic temples in the whole world. At the sanctuary you will have free time to explore the religious site, including witness the mass and visit the different religious buildings that are part of the sanctuary. A unique journey through faith and history of one of the most famous places in Portugal. An incredible pilgrimage.

  • It's a good idea to wear tennis shoes or other appropriate footwear for the tour and bring along a bottle of water. In summer bring your sunscreen and in winter it gets very cold so make sure you bring a jacket.
  • A minimum of 2 people and maximum of 8 people per booking is required: there is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved.
  • In case of adverse weather conditions (e. g. heavy rain), the tour will not be canceled, unless there are warnings and alerts by official organisms.
  • We are not responsible for any traffic congestion in the city, resulting from cultural, sport and religious events, or even demonstrations / strikes, etc. However we will always offer alternatives to avoid these situations; one of them is to change the pick-up and drop-off locations. Unfortunately, this may be transmitted without prior notice.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This was the most moving experience I have ever had in my life. First going to the children’s homes then going to mass and seeing hundreds of people in line to light candles and others on their knees crawling to seek help for themselves or someone else. You could see the hope in people’s eyes and the pain in others who made this trip. So very glad I went.

From start to finish this was awesome. Our tour guide Daniel was very informative and gave a lot of great details on Fatima. We were able to see where the shepherd kids grew up and also where they witnessed the miracles. I would highly recommend this tour, and if you get the chance for your guy to be Daniel, you’re in for a great day.

Wonderful half day tour to Fatima, everything went to plan visiting the 3 shepherd children homes & Fatima basilica. Our guide Alex was patient & great at explaining all, had 2 hours at the shrine to ourselves to do as we wished.
