She’s very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. I really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot at both museums. We also visited the citadel and mosque which I found very interesting!

If you love Egyptian history, then the museum is a must visit. There are numerous artefacts, and they have 2 mummies too. Just a shame that the Rosetta stone is in the British museum and there is a picture of it framed in the foyer as you walk in, indicating you need to go to London to see it in its full glory!!
Even when making it a quick tour, you need around 2 hours to get around it all. There's a cute shop at the exit of the museum where I picked up a Magnet for 250EGP.
Highly recommend a visit.

We did enjoy this visit but it was very crowded and noisy and it was hard to hear our guide a lot of the time. All the tours seem to follow the same route so not much chance to spend time reading about the exhibits or go wandering off to look at something on your own. Nice to finally see the few Tutankhamun pieces left there although the mask was quite a disappointment as it looked like it needed a good clean!
