Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided a little austrian history to and from Hallstatt. Hallstatt itself is absolutely stunning and we felt it was worth the trip but please be aware that the trip is about 3.5 hours EACH way. My boyfriend and I cannot wait to go back for a separate vacation!

We had an excellent trip for the day from Vienna. Hallstatt is a breathtakingly beautiful little town. The bus trip from Vienna was a little long but it was broken up nicely with a quick stop each way at what I’m assuming is Austria’s typical rest stop. We were able to get food and use the restrooms then got back in the road quickly.
Our hotel was out of the range for pick up, so we selected another hotel to walk to, but it would have been nice to have been told exactly where the buses were departing from so we could have just gone directly there.

Christopher was an excellent tour guide, along with the excellent driver, Liapold. We really enjoyed Christopher’s deep knowledge and insight into Hallstatt, including a great and authentic restaurant recommendation that was off the beaten path (And something we wouldn’t find on our own). Despite an accident on the highway that delayed our arrival to Hallstatt, we felt like we were in very good hands with Liapold driving and Christopher staying on top of the situation. I would recommend spending the day to visit beautiful and stunning, Hallstatt!
