Discovering Hamburg at the hands of a Hamburger or someone who has lived almost their entire life in this city ensures a look into the soul of the Hamburgers and the link that their mentality has with history. Only we can explain why you cannot live in Hamburg without loving this city despite the climate that gives this harsh touch to the Hamburgers as well as to their city.

Hamburg City Hall (Rathaus) is an impressive neo-Renaissance building and a symbol of the city's wealth and power.
The Church of St. Michael (Michel), with its 132-meter tower, offers spectacular panoramic views.

This was a tip-based tour booked via FreeTours.com. The actual tour company was Walkative. The tour was terrific. Savvy, our tour guide, was outstanding. In about 2 1/4 hours, he gave us a lot of history, going back in time, past the great fire of 1842, and up to the present day. He told us good stories to match the history. He was incredibly well versed in everything Hamburg, and gave us information in a very entertaining way. Terrific guide, great tour.
