Airport Transfer: Hamburg Airport HAM to Hamburg by Luxury Van

Great and easy transfer from the airport to the cruise terminal where we board our river cruise ship. The driver was waiting for us in the "arrival hall," right outside the secure area where we picked up our luggage. So you pick up your luggage first, and then exit security. This is a bit different than with American airports, where luggage pickup is after security. The driver had an iPad with our name on it. He was friendly, and spoke English. He offered to carry my mom's luggage, which was nice (she's 80 years old). We unfortunately arrived during rush hour, so it was a bit long of a drive to our destination -- the river cruise terminal where we boarded our ship. The vehicle was nice, though, a Mercedes mini-van with two rows of seats that face one another. Air conditioning worked well -- the driver cautioned that it would take a while for the car to cool down, but within minutes of him starting it the vehicle was a nice temperature. We flew from the US to Hamburg, with a five hour layover in Amsterdam, so it was a long day for us. I was very thankful the transfer went so smoothly, and would not hesitate to use this same company again in the future (in fact, we've booked them for our trip back to the US, but out of Berlin, later this week).
