Experience the Rif pottery on a 4 days Rif mountain tour from Fes to Rif mountains with a local experienced woman artisan. On this guided tour through Rif region, discover one the most authentic hand built pottery methods that dates back to the pre Islamic era notably to cartagians and phonecians and keeps preserved from one generation to another by practice. Join us in our humble workshop and try this creative clay experience with your partners, friends and family for a couple of hours of fun and apprenticeship each day. There will be a maximum of six participants to keep it personal . We supply the clay and tools that you require on the pottery course and your passionate instructor will show step by step how to make your own pieces .

A wonderful experience in Taouante! I stayed at the homestay, and it was perfect. Hicham and his family took great care of me and made me feel at home. The food was delicious and plentiful. The scenery around the village I stayed in was beautiful and there were pleasant hikes in the region. The region has a lot to offer, and I am eager to go back and explore more. If you want to have a peaceful local experience it is recommended to stay here.

Hicham of Taounate Ecotourism Discoveries arranged an unforgettable week for me in off-the-beaten-path Taounate. I hardly even know where to start this review. Do I first mention the activities, which is what brought me here? The wonderful pottery workshop and cooking class, where I learned things I have since used in my every day life. Or do I begin with the food? Everything was so fresh and flavourful; the best I've tasted in Morocco. Maybe I should commence with the landscapes, even though I selfishly don't want everyone to know how drop-dead gorgeous this special place is. Actually, I think this review should start and end with the people. Everyone I met, from the beautiful family I stayed with to all the others I interacted with during my time there - shepherds who wove me palm bracelets just because; locals who offered me fruit from their tree; villagers who greeted me warmly; and of course Hicham, who was a helpful contact and excellent ambassador for this region - were simply wonderful. Like another reviewer said, you have to live it at least once in your life. I'm glad I have and I certainly hope to return!

That was an amazing experience! We had such a good fun with my friends. When we are in Morocco next time we will participate again! I recommend to everyone to try the workshop, u can learn a lot !!!
