2-Day Sapa Trekking Tour from Hanoi by Luxury Limousine

This tour was perfect! Everything you want from a tour: - promptly pickup in the morning - very comfortable bus rides both ways with plenty of toilet stops - friendly and informative staff - friendly and knowledgeable trekking guides from the local village, who spoke outstanding English! - delicious included meals at good restaurants - lovely hotel (3.5*) that well exceeded our expectations Highly recommended!

Nos recogió el autobús sobre las 7 de la mañana por nuestro hotel. El conductor no hablaba nada de inglés. Llegamos sobre las 12:30 a Sapa, nos sirvieron la comida y a las 14:30 vino el guía a buscarnos para visitar unas cataratas preciosas. Caminamos unos 7 kms en total. El segundo día caminamos unos 10 kms en total. La ruta fue preciosa, aunque un poco difícil. Nos acompañaban una mujer y una niña de la etnia black hmong, y nos ayudaron a no caernos en el barro, puesto que estaba resbaladizo porque había llovido durante la noche y llovió durante el trekking. La verdad es que fueron amabilísimas. Casi al final, en una parada de descanso que hicimos, nos sacaron un montón de bolsos y monederos para que se los compráramos. La verdad es que fue una sorpresa puesto que ni el guía ni nadie de la organización nos había informado de ello. Por su ayuda, sí que pensábamos darles una pequeña propina igualmente, pero hubiese estado bien que nos hubiesen avisado antes. Además, no nos gustó vernos obligados a comprarle a una niña. Estuvimos todo el viaje muy concienciados de no comprar a niños porque estamos totalmente en contra del trabajo infantil, pero la verdad es que en esta ocasión (al final de nuestro viaje en Vietnam) nos vimos obligados a ello, por la amabilidad de la niña y por vernos obligados a ello. Pedimos a la organización de este tour que no permita que participen niños vietnamitas para vender sis productos. WE ONLY ASK TO THIS TOUR COMPANY TO NOT ALLOW THE PARTICIPATION OF VIETNAMESE CHILDREN TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS IN ORDER TO STOP WITH CHILD LABOR. El guía no nos explicó casi nada durante la ruta, sólo nos guió el camino, aunque la verdad es que fue muy amable todo el tiempo. El hotel estuvo muy bien pero le falló el desayuno, que tenía muchas opciones pero nada bueno. Las dos comidas y la cena incluidas en el precio de la actividad estuvieron bien pero muy repetitivas. En general, nos gustó mucho la actividad, especialmente por los preciosos paisajes y vistas durante el trekking.

This tour was painful. No one spoke English so you were clueless to what was happening step by step. You didn’t even know how long the bathroom break was going to be while driving. Then I was forced to sit in the back seat, which was the worst and bumpiest ride ever. The driver was crazy driving fast and texting and I was thrown up and down on the seat with how bad the driving was. I was not allowed to be in the normal seat in the luxury vehicle I paid for because apparently they were reserved for only Asian people. There was no option to allow me to be in a normal seat when booking. I had to sit through that awful ride for 6 hours each way. Then there is no one speaking English so you don’t know what the next step is when you get dropped off at the hotel. The itinerary is not clear. I didn’t know if I needed to meet the guide somewhere or the guide was picking me up. The guide was ok at first but you have to trek an unnecessary amount of distance from your hotel rather than spend time meeting in the city. The five star hotel I chose was way up on a hill so I had to trek over two miles more. Then the tour makes you go eat dinner somewhere else after a Terrible 6 hour drive and 8km trekking. If I’m in a five star hotel I should get my meal there instead of trekking solo to find another NON five star hotel for food. My foot was swollen and I opted to not trek and take a taxi to the city and walk a bit the next day. I cancelled my guide and the tour company informed me the guide was aware it was cancelled. Then the guide shows up to the hotel and calls my room 3 times in a row to ask me the same question if the tour is cancelled. I said yes three times. Half hour later the guide comes knocking on my hotel door. I thought it was house keeping and she was pushing my door open asking me about if I cancelled with her for the day once again!!!! This was unbelievable that the five star hotel Pao Sapa let the guide know which room I was in!!!!! What a complete invasion of privacy. Not happy and would not ever use this tour or stay at Pao Sapa.
