Halong Bay 2 Days 1 Night Cruise

Absolutely lovely cruise and the staff was even able to accommodate pick me up from Ninh Binh instead of Hanoi. I can't tell you how lovely it is to comfortably lay on a bed while smoothly passing by the mountains of Halong Bay. The food was great as well and the staff were very attentive in accommodating food allergies and restrictions and even made me a separate version of a buffet item without the allergen without me even asking for it. Perhaps the only gripe I had is that they charge for drinks during meals and water isn't automatically provided during meals. Drinks are also quite quite pricey.

The top priority is the is the delivery of food..first meal the boat was in sail.so the viewing of the bay is really second thing on your mind .but by the time lunch was over the boat was parked up. If you think you see lots of the bay and the limestone outcrops .you will not..the beach visited is packed with people.the next time the boat sails again it goes to port. The food was good .drinks expensive . expensive .limited viewing just meal time activities rooms clean...

The trip from Hanoi onto the boat was flawless (except I had to chase confirmation of pick up time from our hotel, and provide passport details very late the evening before departure). The boat was lovely, the rooms comfortable and full of all require amenities. The food was great also, but beware drinks prices are higher than we experienced everywhere else in Vietnam. Our English speaking host ‘Brian’ was excellent and kept everyone to time on a relatively tight schedule. My only personal disappointment was the number of boats that were anchored overnight in the same place, doing the same trip - this also meant the trips/excursions were extremely busy. We did. It return to Hanoi on the organised tour - we took a local ferry to Cat Ba Island as part of our own tour - Brian helped us with the ferry times.
