We're living in Ha Noi and trying to get a look around. This type of tour is a good way to do it. The Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh was an interesting experience, although a bit of a tip - don't go on the weekend. It was absolutely packed. Favorites were the Museum of Ethnology, marred by limited time and the guide not letting us go where we wanted. The Hoa Lo prison was a sort of highlight, somewhat depressing to see what humans can do to other humans but interesting history all the same. The Vietnamese lunch was also pretty good but I can't recall the name of the restaurant. A stop at the souvenir shop turned out to be a bit expensive for us (well, me, anyway) and the Ho Chi Minh house/palace/history and the University of Literature were quite informative. Overall a reasonable experience but we found the guide a bit lacking.
