    After hotel pickup by your guide and driver, your tour of Hanoi starts with a morning visit to the Ho Chi Minh complex where you can see sights like the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, and Quan Thanh Temple. Then enjoy a traditional lunch before exploring the eastern part of the city, including the Vietnam National Museum of History, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and the Huc Bridge. Your tour finishes at a water puppet show, a stage art invented by Vietnamese peasants hundreds of years ago, with nearly 20 stories of Vietnam traditions and daily scenes. Afterward, you are returned to your hotel.

We went on a half day tour of Hanoi. Thinh, our guide, was fantastic. Very knowledgable, patient when asked questions, good English, although he had an itinerary he was happy to go wherever we wanted, told us a lot about local culture, history and the people of Hanoi. He was one of the best guides we have ever experienced and we’ve done lots of tours.

We had the tour booked through GetYourGuide. Lunch was not included, but the Waterpuppet Theater was. It was an interesting day. Ben (Nguyen Mun Thao) was a pleasant guide. He adjusted well to our needs. We were able to get to know the most important sights with him. The friendly driver was always on the spot with the car and took us to the next stop. At noon we found a small restaurant in the old town where we got a good local food and could rest. The water puppet theater we saw of very good places.
