Unlike big cities all around the world, street food in Hanoi are not just hot dog carts and pretzel stands, we offer an opportunity to try out 10 different dishes at local food stand, family restaurants… A rotating menu from day-to-day to represent the variety of delicious options, but tastings might include – but are subject to change: rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail, or dry noodle, sticky rice, along with various kinds of donuts, steamed pancake or Vietnamese sandwiches.

This street food walking tour was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam – and that’s all thanks to Minh, our incredible guide! Minh is a young local with a deep passion for Vietnamese cuisine and culture. From the very first moment, his warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out. He not only introduced us to an amazing variety of authentic Hanoi street food (including a few hidden gems we’d have never found on our own!), but he also took great care to ensure everything was safe and hygienic – a touch we truly appreciated and a wonderful surprise on a food tour. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen, and Minh’s stories about each dish and the local neighborhoods brought so much colour and context to the experience. He was always happy to answer our many questions, and his enthusiasm was contagious. What really set Minh apart, though, was his kindness and care after the tour – he followed up with a fantastic email packed with personal recommendations and helpful tips for the rest of our stay in Hanoi. That thoughtful gesture really went above and beyond. Thank you, Minh, for a truly memorable and delicious experience.
