We pickup from hotels on the north and east side of Kauai at varying pickup times. For guests in Lihue or on the south side--please join the tour at the Wailua Marina. Please call 24-hrs before your tour to confirm pickup time and location.

Pickups are 8:00am in Princeville, 8:45am in Kapaa, 9:00am in Wailua and meet time at 9:15am at Smith's Boats. Tour is about 6-7 hours depending on traffic and pickup location.

    Board a spacious, open-air river boat for a two mile leisurely journey to the Fern Grotto where you’ll enjoy a short nature walk through the rainforest. The Fern Grotto is a geological wonder of Kauai where ferns grow upside down from the roof of the grotto. A natural amphitheater of lava rock and tropical vegetation is the perfect backdrop as you are serenaded and entertained by Hawaiian musicians and hula dancers.

    Visit Kauai's East Side 151-foot tall and 40-foot wide waterfall cascading down into a hidden pool. "Opaekaa" means "rolling shrimp" which were once abundant in the stream.

    Visit Kauai's bird sanctuary, see firsthand the refuge's seabirds like the red-footed boobies, the wedge-tailed shearwaters, and the red and white-tailed tropicbirds. Also check out the 100 year old, 52-ft Lighthouse. Lighthouse is only open on Thursdays and Fridays.

This tour was a wonderful way to spend six hours in Kauai. It was filled with facts about the island. They started the women off with a beautiful flower to wear in your hair. They had hawaiian women singing and playing the ukulele along with a hula dancer. We took a boat ride and then we went on a long ride with our tour guide Domi who was wonderful. He told us endless facts about Hawaii and taught us Hawaiian words. He quizzed all day. We stopped for lunch and he sang us songs on the beach. Domi made our trip very memorable. I would highly recommend this tour.

we had an unbelievable time! Our tour guide was Scott. He was so knowledgable and kind. He gave us a birds-eye view of the beautiful island of Kauai. He took great care of our group and was patient and nice. Scott took extra care to ensure we had a great experience. I highly recommend Scott and the company for a wonderful experience.

I travel a lot and this was one of the best tours ever. Scott seemed like a family friend showing "his" island - PLUS he just happened to be an archeologist, anthropologist, historian, botanist, geologist, and volcanologist, There was nothing of interest to us Scott couldn't satisfy in personalized conversation - including some extemporaneous reflection about the '70s rock bands we both liked. He showed us all the "postcard" highlights PLUS an interesting assortment of "locals only" spots that helped us appreciate what makes Kauai such a special place - even among the other Hawaiian islands.
