A Safe and Tranquil Taste of the Wailua River This three-hour guided tour is a wonderful paddling adventure for the whole family, idyllic paddling on the Wailua River Great panoramic scenery with the landscape and natural history genuinely and safely explained by your water borne guide. The Wailua River became the center of activity for early Hawaiians and is known as one of Hawaii’s two most sacred places. At night, it is said that one can still hear ancient drums thunder in concert with the nearby surf. This tour is perfect for those who want a “taste” of this wonderful river.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We had a great time kayaking on the Wailua River! The other group that was supposed to be with us canceled earlier in the day so we ended up with a private tour! I do wish we had been able to hike to the waterfall but we weren't able to due to recent rain and a risk of flash flooding. It was nice that snacks and drinks were provided as well!

Friendly guide, beautiful scenery, aloha spirit with other excursionists. This is a good choice for solo travelers.

Our favorite day in Kaua’i!!!! This river tour to Secret Falls was recommended to us by a friend and I’m so glad we did it! Our entire family loved it. We brought our 5 kids, ranging from 17 down to 7 and it was enjoyable for all of them. Our guide Izzy was amazing and she really set the tone for us having a great experience! She was very sweet with the kids, and so knowledgeable about the history and culture she shared with us. The falls were really cool and all of us got in the water for a little bit. It was cold for sure haha! We would do this again in a heartbeat! Ask for Izzy if you can, she is the best!
