The Helsinki card works well around town. Many attractions are spread out so make sure you have time to wait for busses. Also, to activate the the card we had to wait until Stockmann Department store opened, went to the 8th floor, and then went back out to catch thr Hop on Hop Off bus. This was a bit time consuming and not as easy to access as other city cards we have used.

This card seemed incredibly expensive for just three days - 84 euros. But after totaling up all the things I did - metro, buses, hop-on hop-off bus, boat trip, ferry, museums - it would have come to about 120 euros bought separately. So if you will be in Helsinki and wanting to see a number of things, this card really is worth it.

Helsinki is a terribly expensive city. But he has the nicest people I've ever met in a European country. The Helsinki card helps too much to get to know and move around the city without scaring the wallet. It is a matter of making good use of it knowing as many places as possible.
