Andry had great sense of humor and was truly enjoyable to talk with. Good perspective on culture.
Shorter than other food tours, and only 5 foods, but very nice.

Christina was an awesome guide - she gave an excellent tour and situated all the food into its historical and cultural context. I got way more out of her tour than just some yummy Finnish food (although I got that too!) She was also super patient with our 4yo daughter (who was being quite naughty) and you could see her enthusiasm for the subject. Thank you so much!

DO NOT BOOK this tour!! It is extremely overpriced! 305 Euros for myself, my husband, and my 8 year old. It was not even 2 hours and we only visited 3 places. As per the inclusions on the description we were to try different sausages and we were also supposed to be treated to champagne - neither of these happened. Instead we drank Prosecco - not a terrible alternative, but much cheaper than the champagne served at the restaurant. We never tried any sausage at all. We did try raw and smoked salmon and shrimp toast. My eight year old daughter does not eat fish, and there were no other alternatives offered. At the Kappelli restaurant, instead of a shrimp toast, I asked if instead she could have a croissant and this appeared to cause confusion with our tour guide who said the he ‘had to order shrimp toasts for everyone in our party according to the agreement with the company and the restaurant ‘. Finally after some lengthy dialogue, he ‘agreed’ to let her have a croissant. Our tour guide did not enlighten us with much Finland history (food history included), there was some, but not much....again considering the cost. He did cover a lengthy description of Finland’s recycling process...... He was a nice guy, but he should find another part-time gig (I’m sure this is not his full time job). Bottom line- I wish that I had my 300 Euro’s back. For a mere 30 Euro’s we could have all had something great to eat at the Old Market with some money left over for some chocolate or an ice cream.”
