It was a cold and somewhat sunny Tuesday when we met Maddalena outside the food hall to begin our three-plus hour culinary adventure. As a seasoned traveler and food tour veteran, I would rank this food tour among the best I’ve done. Maddalena is knowledgeable and passionate about Helsinki and its food. We sampled a variety of local delicacies and learned a lot about Helsinki and its history. Be warned: there is considerable walking between food stops. Maybe I wouldn’t have minded that so much if it hadn’t been cold and snowy and maybe I’m just grumpy in general, lol.

What a wonderful way to experience Helsinki. After a long meeting day we met Maddalena in the city and from the first second she brought new energy to all of us and we could not wait to discover the city and obviously get something to eat :-) The location we had our food were very nice and authentic exactly how you want to experience a city. On the walks from one restaurant to the other, Maddalena was giving us interesting insights about the city and obviously the history - we all will definitely remember Alvar Aalto ;-) and even our finish colleagues really liked the tour and even learned something about their hometown

Maddalena was an amazing tour guide! She gave us so much interesting information about Finland and the food we were trying without being overwhelming. Maddalena brought us to great restaurants we never would have found on our own. She made sure to connect with everyone in our group and was extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!!
