Join us for a different experience in small groups & off the beaten path views! We all want to hold in the everlasting gaze. A tour for the curious, the bold, and the spirited. Departing the Old Town by tube to visit the oldest and most beautiful cemetery in town. It’s basically an open-air museum, comparable to Père Lachaise. Enchanted in the rapture of its mysterious stories, we’ll take a turn through a lively park little-known to tourists but cherished by locals. Then we drop inside the oldest train station in Romania, and then we check out the former KGB headquarters close by. We’ll take a break at an old factory turned into a cultural hub, a perfect spot for quirky souvenirs and refreshments. And lastly, we’ll show you a secret passage to an old Mahalla, the oriental term for ‘neighborhood’.

Although I live in Bucharest and know the city quite well, I decided it was worth going to the Bellu Cemetery / Museum with a guide, Mircea was able to show me another face of the city and to arouse my interest to find out more about the city in witch I live daily, to transpose myself with his stories in a part of Bucharest and in historical moments of the city too little known to me. Thank you Mircea, you are a great guide, I do not know how time went by. I can drink a cofee anytime with you just to find out more about this peculiar city we live in.

Mein Mann und ich hatten uns für die Mahallopolis Tour entschieden. Zum einen hat uns Mircea spannende und interessante Seiten von Bukarest gezeigt. Zum anderen hat er die Tour schön abwechslungsreich, mit viel Humor, Liebe zur Stadt und Leidenschaft zur Tour selbst gestaltet. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!!
