Some of Kanazawa’s most precious districts are overshadowed by bigger, more famous areas – but seeing the city through a local’s eyes creates an entirely new perspective. Visit Utatsuyama Park, an expansive forest in the middle of the city with over 100 types of wildflowers, and explore Nishi Chaya, a residential road where geisha and maiko (apprentice geisha) live and train. Criselda is a great communicator and proactive in making suggestions as to what might be of interest to. She is very engaging and knowledgeable. We had a lovely afternoon with her exploring beautiful Kanazawa.

This was such a great experience. Our guide, Megumi, was amazing. She was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. After filling out the questionnaire, we decided to visit the geisha area, Kenrokuen garden and Kanazawa Castle. She walked us through the fish market on the way back, pointed out local delicacies and helped us place our order. She sent us links to other area attractions and called to make reservations for us at the Ninja temple and a gold leaf class for the following days. Would 100% recommend Megumi to anyone considering booking a tour.

Fumie was a great guide, she showed us the city from a different angle - less touristic, more local flavor which wax exactly what we were looking for.
