Ratana was an excellent tour guide. She led us on an informative tour of Chiang Mai. This was a perfect thing for us to do on our first day to get a feel for the city.

How would you describe your best experiences you had in your life while traveling, and when you just take a moment, to think, what made them so special?! The place, the people, the time?! I'd say, the perfect combination, and this is the beauty of withlocals, since you can choose the tour and than the guide which you think is the best to cover the topics you are interested in. Since I'm really interested in buddhism, religion in general, and spirituality, the profile of Naphat seemed to be nothing but a perfect fit - and it was, the tour and her as a guide was incredible. A deep dive without rushing, and she is very pleased to help you wherever possible. She even booked a tour for me, way cheaper and longer as I've found on the usual suspects when it comes to guided tours. I'm very certain, nobody can give you a similar experience than Naphat, no matter if it's about sightseeing, history, religion or just to experience the incredible street food of northern Thailand. "withlocals", yes it was for sure. She is so very passionate about sharing everything to know and experience, and she does it with all her heart and soul. Pure perfection - 11/10 (spinal tap never gets old, right?) Can not recommend her enough. What can I say? Thank you for showing me around and for sharing your knowledge and experience. ????

We spent several hours with friendly, knowledgeable Purichat, who showed us some of the highlights of Chiang Mai’s old town. Not only did the tour orient us, we were so lucky to have, in Purichat, a guide who gave us insights into history and culture beyond just the names and dates - and she had some great food and other activity recommendations too! A great guide and a supremely worthwhile tour.
