After a hike through an alien-like glacial tundra, we will arrive at the edge of the glacier where your guide will assist you in putting your crampons on. We will explore ice caves where your photographer will capture you inside these natural wonders. Once through the lower cave, which is named Sapphire Ice Cave, we will gear up for our hike on the glacier. With crampons on, you will hike to many different formations on the glacier including our famous crystal crevasses. The visuals you will see all around you will create an unimaginable experience as your photographer captures you amongst it. We are the only tour company in Iceland that offers photo packages along with the smallest group sizes of any glacier tour operator. Every glacier hike through Ice Pic Journeys includes photos from your tour. Each person will receive 10 professionally edited photographs sent via a Drive within the 14 days after your hike. These will include the iconic Blue Ice Cave photos.

We had our tour with Mike and I can honestly say our trip to Iceland would not be the same without this. We had the best time! Mike was very knowledgeable, sharing all different aspects about the cave we were and the conditions we would be experiencing. He was also very concern with our safety and aware of us and our surrounding. All of that while maintaining a very friendly interaction. The ice on the cake was the fact that their offer is unique, there is not another company in Iceland that offers the same experiences with a guide that is also a good photographer. Plus, we were indeed a very small group. While we were there I saw other tours advertised as “small groups” with 16-20 people, which was completely different than the very exclusive attention and experience we had with Ice Pic Journeys.

My friend and I had an amazing experience with our two tour guides, Adam and Rögnvaldur. We hiked to stunning ice caves and took a lot of pictures but the best part was that we had the cave all to ourselves. After the ice caves, we finished the tour by zip lining on the glacier, which was an amazing experience! Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and very customer oriented. I would highly recommend Ice Pic Adventures to anyone in the Glacier Lagoon area of Iceland.

We’ve had an amazing experience with Mike who was our guide. The ice cave is wonderful and we can’t express how cool was it. I proposed to my fiancé at the cave so it was very special. Mike took pictures of us and now we have this moment eternalized. We recommend a lot Ice Pic Jorneys!
