Hoi An Ancient Town, Hoi An, Vietnam Hoi An is an ancient town located in the lower section of Thu Bon River, Quang Nam Province, about 30 kilometers south of Danang city. Hoi An was a bustling international trading port,a meeting place of the trading ships of Japan, China and the West during the 17th and 18th centuries. Before this period, there was here also traces of Champa port which was known as a site on Silk Road along the sea. Fantastic from start to end. Minh had great knowledge of the city's history, took us to all the best points of interest and helped a young family of 5 navigate the chaos of a busy tourist destination. From finding temples, historic houses and museums to getting onto a suitable boat at precisely sunset, taking many family photos and getting a table at a popular local restaurant, Minh handled absolutely everything so we could enjoy everything this fantastic city had to offer (he even helped us haggle!).

Last evening we went to Hoi An with G as our driver from DaNang and Minh as our tour guide. Many people say you can just get a Grab and do Hoi An on your own, which obviously you can. But, I’m so glad we took this tour because Hoi An became more of a destination than a shopping experience. It is very congested there, but Minh was able to navigate us around to specific significant sights and give us history and insight of our surroundings.

Fabulous tour well worth doing. Our guide Dany was very informative and his English was excellent. He was very flexible and accommodating with what we wanted to see and do. The lanterns on the water at night are very magical as is Hoi An at night. Highly recommend this tour.
