We had a lovely experience at Tra Que Restaurant. We visited the herb village and worked with a local farmer to prepare a plot of soil before planting some herbs. Afterwards we learned how to cook prawn and pork Vietnamese pancakes and we also made fresh spring rolls. We enjoyed eating our meals as well as another chosen meal cooked by the chef. The owner and guide Van is one of the loveliest people we’ve met in Vietnam, she is so friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend this activity!

Great cooking class, learned something about vitnamese farming and had really delicious food. In addition we got feet- and head-massage. Also staff were so friendly, it felt like home.

Van speaks English very well and we enjoyed the whole experience, especially working in the garden, and learning to prepare local specialties. A glimpse of village life in a contemporary tourist setting. Recommend if you have a few days in Hoi An, as it’s a pleasant cycle through the rice paddies to Tra Que Village.
