Book this tour and you will have a chance to be a real farmer, practicing farming and learning how to cook tasty specialities from the village’s vegetables. Joining us, you will compete with each other in the group to become a local MASTER CHEF. Whoever wins will get a local special prize. Experience the local farmer's life at the village and have a chance to see many different animals such as water buffalo, storks, cows, and free-range chickens. Experience real rural market life, learn how to bargain at the market. Cycle to the small beautiful farming rural roads with fabulous views.

We will pick you up at your hotels in Hoi An in 3 kms. Other picking up outside of Hoi An, you have to pay extra fees.

    At 8:00 am or 14:00 pm: Our tour guide will meet you at the hotel and start the tour by cycling to Hoi An central market or Ba Le market. Here, we will learn how to choose the good and fresh ingredients to be used in our cooking lesson. As you know, market is not the place where the locals sell and buy things, but also the community where they can see and chat with their friends. We will see many kinds of goods, fruits, souvenirs, and animals. Market is the perfect place to learn how to bargain.

  • Tra Que Vegetable Village, Hoi An, Vietnam
    After the market, we continue to cycle to Tra Que vegetable village, the place where we will learn how to cook and compete with each other to become a new local MASTER CHEF. At the village, we will be welcomed by a local welcome drink. Take a short break, we will go with a local farmer to visit the village with many kinds of herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Learning how to do some farming works, wearing farming clothes to do some light works with the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago, no electrical machinery here. Going back to the local farmer’s house, we start the Cooking class to learn how to cook some specialities such as: Tra Que vegetable salad Tam Huu, Vietnamese rice pancakes, fried spring rolls. At the end of the cooking course, the local master chef will tell you who would be the winner. We will enjoy what we have just cooked as lunch. Finishing the tour by having a foot massage, made from local herbal medicines. Cycling back to your hotel, tour ends.

Excellent half day trip to explore Hoi an countryside with a local private guide. We visited Ba Le market and really enjoyed it. Our excellent guide explained us the local daily life, their culture. We loved the farming works and the cooking class under the guidance of a local chef. It was such a great experience and 100% recommend this tour.

We booked a private tour from our Cruise ship to visit Marble mountains and Tra Que vegetable village. We did fabulous marble mountains and we learnt how to cook local specialties in Hoi An! It was such a nice day and our guide HOA was very nice, knowleageble! Highly recommend it

We joined the cooking class tour in the herbal garden name Tra Que. Our guide Quan is very informative , his English is absolutelly perfect and very easy to understand . We was tought by Quan about many types of veggies and how to use them in the real life (use chillies, garlic, ... for organic fertilizer ). We also had experiences to make our own foods such as spring rolls & rice pancake as know as Banh Xeo. There were also plethora foods for lunch. Highly recomment Quan & his tour when you visit Hoi An.
