An exciting adventure with vintage American army jeep, or Modern Car. From hotel in Hoi An, local guide & driver will take you through countryside villages to have a glimpse of the real Vietnam. You'll see farmers, buffaloes, cows, rice paddies, vegetable farms... Soon we reach My Son sanctuary, we'll walk at slow pace about 90 minutes to visit the ancient Hindu temples, recognized by UNESCO as World Culture Heritage site in 1999. From the 4th to 13th centuries, about 70 Hindu temples were constructed by the ancient Champa kingdom of the Khmer Empire. This worshipping complex is located in a beautiful valley, surrounded by majestic mountains. Walking among the temples, you'll see many bomb craters left from Vietnam War. Despite the war's impact, the ancient temples are still fascinating for all visitors, history and architecture experts. Then we'll drive on country roads to Thanh Ha pottery village, sit down with local artisans, learn to make clay products before heading back to hotel.

We really enjoyed touring around the countryside in old US Army jeeps. Our guide Thanh was very knowledgeable and funny. We had 2 Jeeps for the 5 of us and the drivers were excellent. It was great to be off the beaten track through lush rice paddies. Apart from My Son not another tourist in sight. Highly recommended.

We have used Local Buddy Tours before and are never disappointed, they are the best private tour business in Hoi An and the surrounding areas. The My Son Sanctuary jeep tour was a lot of fun with other local sites taken in as well as the sanctuary site . Our guide Thanh has great knowledge of the area and was able to answer all of our questions. Lunch at a local rural restaurant was a highlight for us and it was great to sit and relax whilst our guide organised a variety of local dishes. You can’t go wrong with Local Buddy tours they listen to what you want and then they make it happen.
