Valle de Ángeles is a beautiful, historic Spanish mining town. It has been restored to its original 16th-century appearance. In front of the town’s old church is an attractive shady plaza. Artisan souvenir shops line the streets, selling excellent Honduran crafts for less than they cost in Tegucigalpa, including wood carvings, basketry, ceramics, leatherwork, paintings, dolls, and wicker and wood furniture.

    This tour will take you from your hotel in Tegucigalpa to Valle de Angeles to explore this beautiful town. The tour will take about 4-hour in total so you can see all the ethnic crafts, art paintings, wood carvings and leather products. These products made in Valle de Angeles are of export quality at only a fraction of what it would cost abroad. In the town you can savor a high quality coffee cup or typical meal and see the scenery of a Spanish colonial town. Then we will take you to your hotel back to Tegucigalpa to a well deserved relaxing rest of day.

Casi nunca tomo este tipo de tours, ya que me gusta disponer de mi tiempo con libertad; sin embargo, me pareció que de esta forma conocería mejor los atractivos de este lugar. Valle de Ángeles merece un poco mas de tiempo (por lo menos un día completo) para recorrer sus pintorescas calles, visitar galerías de arte y ventas de artesanías; ademas, una parada para disfrutar de un fabuloso café, bocadillos locales o una comida formal. I visited Valle de Angeles and Santa Lucia with the guide. Let me tell you all, the guy is amazing. He knows his job very well, well informed and is really patient while touring. He also know the best places to buy souvenirs.
