It is an archaeological site that keeps important vestiges of the ancient Proto-Lencas and Olmec cultures.

The impressive Yojoa Lake is located 157 kilometers from the capital city Tegucigalpa, and 84 kilometers from San Pedro Sula. The trip overall was decent but the price is a little high for what you get. First, the admission to the places are included but only for the bare minimums. For example, at the waterfall it is extra to climb down to the waterfall and more to zipline. At the lake it is extra to kayak. And at the caves it is extra to do the extended tour. Additionally there is a lot of stops on this tour. The caves was our last stop and we had 20 minutes to spend there before they closed. There are too many destinations and not enough time. The tour guide was accommodating and knowledgeable and the sights were beautiful.

Definitivamente un lugar muy bonito, Donde se pueden hacer varias actividades en familia como nadar, caminatas, paseos por el río en neumáticos, tomarse fotos frente a la imponentes cataratas, canopy o simplemente colocar una hamaca y descansar.
