    You will be met by our professional driver at your pick up location to be transfered to your Hot Air Balloon ride. As the day begins, you will experience a wonderful hot air balloon flight above the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. After your flight and landing, enjoy games and lots of laughs as your pilot, crew and driver lead the fun of packing up your hot air balloon. Your hot air balloon experience finish time varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise). Your driver can drop you back to your Cairns accommodation or, with prior notice, we can drop you off to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai or perhaps a Cairns cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements.
  • Atherton Tablelands, Cairns, Queensland, Australia
    The Atherton Tablelands is the area over which we fly our hot air balloons. You will experience this area at dawn - the best time of the day to spot wallabies, kangaroos, many different species of birds, and other wildlife. In addition, you may fly over many different crops as The Tablelands are known for their fruit and vegetable produce. Keep an eye out for crops of mangoes, bananas, lychees, avocados, pineapples, limes and more.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
  • All passengers must be able to get into the balloon basket unaided to the satisfaction of the pilot, or they will not be able to fly
  • Children aged 3 years and under are not permitted to fly

  • Flight time is minimum 40 minutes
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Absolutely brilliant. We had an amazing time. The staff and crew were fantastic and it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks Joe for making it so much fun (we now have Dancing Queen on repeat!)

This was a special experience for our family. I was blown away by the professionalism of the ballooning team. They picked us up from our hotel at 4.10am and drove us to Mareeba, where we watched the huge balloons being inflated, then hopped into the very large baskets for the flight. The early morning views of the Mareeba countryside were superb, with some cloud cover adding to the experience as we at times floated in the clouds. After a smooth landing, our group had a fun time helping pack up the balloon before celebrating with drinks and snacks. Photos were taken before, during and after the flight and emailed to everyone later the same day. The crew were entertaining, professional and at all times safety conscious - what a team! We were even able to add a trip to Kuranda via Skyrail to our package and were dropped off at the Skyrail terminal after the balloon ride.

Outstanding on all fronts. Considerate of travellers needs given the early start, clear & concise advice at all times, extensive knowledge & skills evident, great catering, amazing views for everyone. Most importantly, the team (Brian, Bob & Hitoshi) showed compassion w pragmatism when our son had a panic attack just before take-off. In addition to noise-reducing earmuffs for the burner sound, they were efficiently kind and supportive. Upon landing, Brian gave our son words of wisdom that will stay with him forever - a truly moving and formative moment. Words cannot express our gratitude for the pride our son now feels for having overcome his fear.
