    We start cycling about 5km from your hotel in Hue City along perfume river to get to Thien Mu Pagoda located on the north shore of the Perfume River. Thien Mu Pagoda is regarded as the unofficial symbol of the former imperial capital. Today it is the home of the Austin Motor Vehicle which drove Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in Saigon in 1963 in protest against the Diem regime. It is still home to many monks and a holy site visited by many everyday.

  • Perfume River, Hue, Vietnam
    We take dragon boat cruise in Perfume River (Hương River), that originates from the Truong Son Dong mountain range. The main stream is Ta Trach with a length of 67km, originating from the Truong Son Dong range, along the Bach Ma area to the northwest, through Nam Dong town. Then it merges with Huu Trach stream with a length of 60km in the North through Bang Lang junction. At the place where these two streams meet to form the Perfume River.

  • Tomb of Minh Mang, Hue, Vietnam
    We then take Dragon Boat from Thien Mu Pagoda to cruise to Minh Mang Tomb Dock, have a short walk from our boat to discover Minh Mang Tomb. This Tomb is famous for landscape and Oriental Architecture. This tomb was planned and started by Minh Mang but built by his successor - King Thieu Tri, from begining of 1841 to 1843.

  • Tomb of Khai Dinh, Vietnam
    We continue on the boat tour to Khai Dinh Dock, and cycling for 10 minutes to visit Tomb of King Khai Dinh (built from 1920 - 1931). This is the smallest tomb (48.5X117m) of the Nguyen Emperors, but took the longest time and cost a lot of money to build. This is only tomb of the Nguyen's Kings with blended architecture of Vietnamese and Western style. This is also the only tomb of the Nguyen's Kings we know exactly where King was buried. After Khai Dinh Tomb, we continue on the boat tour back to Hue and then cycling back to your hotel. Our fantastic Hue Tombs Tour by Bike and Boat will be finish in your hotel.

Thank you Mr Hồng the four of us had an amazing experience. Dodging Hanoi’s traffic was a white knuckle ride but you expertly weaved your way through the busy traffic. The dragon boat was great fun and the temples, tombs were not to be missed. We particularly enjoyed king Khai dinh’s tomb which was breathtaking. As a guide you were clear, interesting, very knowledgable and spoke excellent fluent English. We would definitely recommend you to all.

My partner and I booked a leisurely one-day bike tour to three beautiful tombs and the pagoda. We did part of the tour by boat on the beautiful Parfum River. We enjoyed it very much and can highly recommend this tour! Huy our guide knows an incredible amount about the old and the new history of Vietnam, especially about the kings and their court as well as the American war. In good English he gave us a lively understanding of the history, it was very interesting to listen to him. He does this job very professionally and passionately. The bicycles are simple but they are perfectly adequate for this tour. Huy guided us well through the traffic so that we always felt safe. We can highly recommend this tour with Huy!

We had such a great time today on our bicycle and boat tour with our excellent guide Huy. He is knowledge of history is exceptional and his English level is top notch. Lovely and friendly person. The tour: a mixture of boat, bicycle and visits which makes the tour always interesting and varied. We visited Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh Mang tomb, King Khai Dihn tomb and Tu Duc Tomb. In between, boat rides near rice fields and nature and boat rides. We had such a good day learning about Hué history, cycling and having a good rest on the boat at the end. Highly recommended.
