    Built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest, the Thien Mu Pagoda ("Heavenly Lady Pagoda") in Hue is one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in the country. Among the many interesting artifacts housed at the complex is the car that took the monk Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in 1963 Saigon.

Had an excellent private tour of the Hue citadel and Royal Tombs. Our driver was Hoa from StopandGo Tours who was excellent. Spoke good English and was very considerate - eg would ask us to be careful of traffic when stepping out of the car and insisted on opening the door first to ensure our safety.

We had a wonderful day out visiting each of the tombs and temples, all very different but each unique and impressive in their own right. The day was made even more memorable by our friendly guide Lam. Her knowledge of the history surrounding each of the sights was excellent and it really helped our understanding.

This was an incrediblly interesting and insightful tour of Hue. Our guide, Van, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learnt so much from her. She was also very flexible helping us accommodate everything we wanted to do and see that day.
