This was to be a warm-up hike but turned into a bit of an adventure.
It is advertised as "easy and adequate for all ages and fitness possibilities"
Firstly, the Grlo Sokolovo part is an easy stroll, so that fits. However, the Hum Orohovski climb was something else.
For most of the hike, there was no track. Near the top and bottom there were remnants of a shepherds track but elsewhere we were going cross-country, climbing fairly steeply through knee-to-thigh-high grass in open forest with some rocky sections. Fortunately, the guide had done this hike before, when the "track" condition was better, and did a great job navigating through the terrain. However, descending on steep slopes on slippery grass was had to be done slowly, and so in total the hike took 4+ hours. We are very experienced hikers so the experience wasn't problematic, just a bit unexpected. Compared to the other hikes we did in Durmitor, and the 3 peaks hike in Proklaije, this was certainly the most challenging, terrain-wise. Perhaps the travel company should review this option......all the other hikes we did with the company were great.
And the weather wasn't great, so not much to see from the summit.
