    The rulers of the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt’s prosperous New Kingdom (c.1550–1069 BC) were buried in a desolate dry river valley across the river from the ancient city of Thebes (modern Luxor), hence its modern name of the Valley of the Kings. This moniker is not entirely accurate, however, since some members of the royal family aside from the king were buried here as well, as were a few non-royal, albeit very high-ranking, individuals. The Valley of the Kings is divided into the East and West Valleys. The eastern is by far the more iconic of the two, as the western valley contains only a handful of tombs. In all, the Valley of the Kings includes over sixty tombs and an additional twenty unfinished ones that are little more than pits.

As I say best agency, best services in Hurgarda. We organise with Mister Mahmoud all our tours how long we stay in Hurgarda and we were very pleased about all. Services, guides, transportation. We get in touch before we left Romania, via WhatsApp, and we explain to him what we want to do in Egypt how long we stay, and he really do a great program for us, on the best price. Go with him, and you will not be sorry. See you soon Mahmoud, I will be back, this time only for snorkelling and scuba.

Nachdem wir die Ausflugspreise im Hotel gesehen hatten, haben wir den Tagesausflug nach Luxor mit dem Bus vor Ort über WhatsApp gebucht. Das hat trotz anfänglicher Skepsis alles super geklappt. Ein paar mal hin und her geschrieben und alles war geklärt. Die Zahlung erfolgte dann direkt bei der Reiseleiterin, die allerdings erst direkt in Luxor zustieg. Vorher waren nur 2 Fahrer an Bord, die relativ wenig sprachen. Aber egal, morgens um 5 will man ja selbst auch sein Ruhe. Die Führung war sehr informativ und die Reiseleiterin war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das die Nilfahrt 10 Euro extra kostet (inkl Getränk) war von vornherein klar, deshalb gibt es da auch nichts zu meckern. Beim nächsten Mal wieder mit Egypt-Booking - sehr empfehlenswert
