Thank you incredibly much for taking us on this great excursion!!!
First thing in the morning we were picked up at the hotel by Wael and the driver, where they drove us to the pyramids in Giza. The drive was fun as well, because we got to talk about recent egyptian events and history.
At the pyramids we first got a little lesson about how their history and who built them, before first taking a little walk up and around the base of the closest pyramid and then going for a camel ride. The camel ride was an incredible experience which I will remember for the rest of my life :)
Soon after the camels, we took a short drive over to the sphynx, where we were taught some very detailed history and legends about the sphynx and the surrounding area.
After the sphynx, we drove to the papyrus factory nearby, where the woman working there showed us how it's made and the history behind it, before we were shown around the papyrus shop, where we ended up bying some very beautiful papyrus boards.
When we were done, we took a drive a little further south of the city, where we first stopped for some nice snacks and then ended up at Sakkara for another round of ancient sights.
At the Sakkara site our great guide told us everything there was to know about the buildings and pyramids around there plus more, where we also got to go into a tomb pit and several ancient buildings.
When we were done at the second pyramid site, we were taken to a nice little carpet weavery, where we got to see how the carpets were made and also taken around the carpet store, buying a beautiful little red tapestry. Outside the carpet place, we also got to see the beautiful fields nearby at a farm right next door, which to me was a very beautiful and refreshing sight.
After Sakkara, we went for a little drive east to Memphis, where we got to see a nice little outdoor museum which had many ancient pretty statues, including a very big one of Ramses II!
Soon after, we were taken to lunch. The place we went to had amazing food, and was located in a beautiful little event venue with very good service.
After a great and filling lunch meal, we were in the end taken back to Cairo, right at the doorstep of our hotel, which concluded our great tour for the day.
All in all, this is the best tour I have ever been on and completely exceeded my expectations. Not only did we get to see so much more than we expected, but the guide was incredibly friendly and full of all the world's knowledge, way more than I ever thought I wanted to know :)
Thank you incredibly much for an amazing day and an amazing trip!!!
I highly recommend high quality tours company for this tour.
Very organized, communicated well before, during and after the tour, and highly professional and knowledgeable tour guide (Wael). He took as much time as we needed to enjoy each site and ensure we fully understood the story and historical significance behind each site. Our driver (Ferris) was also exceptional. go see Giza, Saqqara and Memphis! You won’t be disappointed!

The trip was ok, definitely oversold though. The so called camel ride is a get on and walk 3 steps and get off. The walk up the mountain for the sunset was nice and then into the Bedouin camp was nice. The star gazing itself… you are in a large group of 30/40 people and there is two telescopes that you share between the group so you have about 5 seconds to look at each planet. The food was lovely and the family were lovely but it wasn’t organised in getting the food… again its a large group to try and get their meal all at once. After dinner you lay in the sand to look at the stars for 5-10 minutes. The guide was fast paced when talking and that was all the stargazing you did so it was so disappointing as it could have been amazing.
