We Made a magnific daytour with Reynir to Godafoss waterfall and lake Myvatn! He told us much interesting things about the scenery and history of the landscape. We had plenty of time on each stop to walk around and make Some Nice pictures. We highly advice you to go on a tour with Startravel ! 100% worth it!!! ???? Thanks Reynir ???? We will be back!!! This was one of our favorite days while circumventing Iceland on a ship. We booked with Star Travel through a friend we were traveling with. Tomas met us at the port on the morning of our tour and we enjoyed a very comfortable day for the seven of us in Mercedes mini-bus. We enjoyed scenic views of Lake Myvatn; a walk through the lava fields; being transported to what seemed like the moon with geothermal hot springs and mud pots; an unexpected treat of watching the sheep being herded (by the hundreds) to prepare for the winter; checking out a fissure (don't get too close....someone had fallen into it and was awaiting rescue while we were there); several hours at the natural baths; and then a stop at the beautiful Godafoss waterfalls before we returned to our ship. Tomas, our guide, was a highlight of the day. He was informative, pleasant and engaged with us throughout the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, especially because he was such a great guide. We'd definitely recommend booking with Star Travel and requesting Tomas as a guide.
