We also visit the Grjótagjá Grotto, the scene for the famous love cave scene from Game of Thrones (Season 3). During our time in Mývatn we also stop for a local lunch.

We had Luke as our guide. He emigrated from Germany to Iceland about 3 years ago because he fell in love with the country. You could see this immediately: with a lot of knowledge, enthusiasm and personal experience he entertained us, informed us and imparted knowledge. A clear recommendation! We really enjoyed our trip to Lake Mývatn, the lava fields of Dimmuborgir, the mud pools of Hverir and the Godafoss waterfall. Our guide Lukas was able to tell us a lot about Land & Leute and its exciting history... he has a nice and fun way of imparting his knowledge. Thank you for that!
