  • The puffin season is from April 15th – August 20th approximately. More focus on whales outside the puffin season
  • A minimum number of passengers is required for all our tours. If the minimum number is not reached, we reserve the right to change or cancel departures, even with short notice. In such cases, customers are offered alternative options or full refund
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Unfortunately, if no whales or dolphins are sighted on the tour, passenger refunds are not permitted. However, customers can receive a voucher to join a traditional whale watching tour free of charge, depending on availability
  • Not allowed for passengers with heart- or back problems or pregnant women
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Gentle Giants is located on a gorgeous harbor which was smooth as glass the day we went out. Decked out in our winter water-resistant gear we went in search of a humpback and puffins. We eventually came upon one lonely humpback which tolerated us and a few other boats for a while. It’s nice to be on a much smaller boat versus the the big boats with 100 plus people. Even though it was the end of puffin season we did get to see many but it was a lot windier on the open water so there weren’t many photographs which were clear. Best bet for that is in Rejkyavik. We booked our trip several weeks out to be sure of getting tickets for the rib boat.

Sarah was a great guide and Captain Matt zipped us around the rib boat to get close ups of the whale. You feel right next to the whales. Highly recommend

Wir haben die Tour im Speedboot gebucht und waren voll und ganz zufrieden. Unser Guide war super und hat uns viel erklärt. Wir hatten das Glück kurz nach dem Start schon Delfine zu sehen und etwas später auch einen Buckelwal. Ich kann jedem die Speedboot-Tour nur empfehlen. Man hat immer einen guten Blick und ist viel schneller auf dem Wasser unterwegs. Alles in allem eine sehr tolle Erfahrung.
