This was fascinating, watching the sun rise, seeing the bathers and the buildings was excellent. There were funeral pyres which we had not expected and three cremations going on, slightly upsetting but spiritual as well. The old town is noisy, dirty, with a lot of poverty to be seen but the gist left us all with lots of memories and feeling strange but uplifted. Well worth getting up early for.
