We were fortunate to have a great guide Ashraf who’s very passionate about the industry and we could feel it. We saw some real behind-the-scenes filming and even saw some stars, managed to see how a recording studio works and lots of other interesting stuff!

Film City Tours organized by Passport Lifestyles. Guide was Ashraf (aka Ash). He knew a lot about the making of movies and the use of sets in the making of movies. He provided excellent history and answered many questions that I asked as we did the tour. I was able to watch the filming of a scene for a very popular series in India and Ash arranged for one of the actors to take a photo with me. Ash made sure my “comfort” needs were met and procured water and a soda for me. I highly recommend this tour; if you are into Bollywood, you will learn a lot. My advice to others: wear good shoes as the roads are old and in places the asphalt was uneven and crumbled. Additionally to get to some of the sets, you must use steps. Film City was founded in 1977.
