This 3-hour curated walk lets you explore one of Bangalore's first extensions called as  Basavanagudi which is more than 120 years old.  Learn more about the history of Bangalore after the rule of it's founder, the king Kempe Gowda.  On this walk  you get to explore a few temples, some parks and also the local market. The guide Ali is a wondetful story teller. He combines facts from history with factual anegdots , mytology and legends and mixes it all in a fantastic way. i decided to read entire Ramayana aftrt this walk. That is how inspuring it was.

I went we Ali Mansoor to several walks. He is knowledgeable, updated on ancient history and current status, and equipped with relevant articles or book on any relevant matter. I learned a lot and kept coming to the different tours. The breakfast location he chooses always turn good and he is making sure to educate the participants about the local foods.

Mr Mansoor & team from Bangalore by Foot is very friedly, prompt & knowledgeable. They organized Basavangudi walking tour for a group of 40,each and every member of the group enjoyed the tour very much. It was great to know history of Bangalore and he explains it very well with reference to the historical pictures. He also had arranged a snack time in Vidyarthi Bhavan, it was like icing on the cake. Best part of the tour. I would totally recommend Bangalore by Foot for walking tours.
