This tour will take you to a Jewish Synagogue, Jewish cemetery and a Jewish Cafe "Chabad house" visited by Jewish tourists only. The presence of Jews in Delhi goes back many centuries, even before the British colonial era. When the capital of India shifted to Delhi, Jews were present in the vital railways, defence and central government services. Note: Access to Synagogue and Chabad house is reserved for Jewish Community only

In the year 2007, the synagogue welcomed more than 12,000 visitors for worship or tours from all around the world. Jews of any level of observance are welcome at the Judah Hyam Synagogue. Services are conducted both in Hebrew and in English.

    Later you will be taken to "Chabad House" which Is An Israeli Gem With Authentic Kosher Food & Hebrew Graffiti. Home Away From Home When you reach the Chabad House that has been around for almost 20 years, you will be required to submit a valid ID with the police officer stationed outside. This is a security measure taken after the Mumbai terror attack on the Chabad House in 2008. Climb a flight of stairs and you will enter into Delhi’s very own little Israel that houses a Jewish altar, shelves full of books on Judaism and a Kosher food kitchen. You’ll also be greeted by a bunch of Israeli backpackers.ittle Israel Go here for how novel the concept of Kosher food sounds and experience a bit of Israel in Delhi. Even the menu at Chabad House is written in Hebrew, so you’ll need an Israeli’s help with the translation {who are more than happy to help}. To conclude up will be dropped to your Delhi hotel.

What a great afternoon! We visited Chabad and had a delicious lunch, went to the Jewish Cemetery and saw graves of Jewish New Delhi people, including officers who fought for India. We also saw the Jewish Synagogue next door and got to meet the lay leader Ezekiel Malekar who’s family has been in India for 2000 years. The Jodhi gardens are beautiful and Jai was a great and interesting guide, with lots of info about Jewish Delhi and India and India in general.

Professional and humble guide. "Jai" seems to respect the traditions and customs of every faith including Jewish One. While in the cemetry He advised u to not to click photos as t was a community cemetery where blessed souls were resting in peace.

Happy to visit this small synagogue in Delhi. The rabbi was quite welcoming. Sadly: no photos of the cemetery were allowed. Also had a very nice visit to Chabad.
