Ellora complex is known for Kailash temple. It is multi-storey temple complex and it was carved out of one single rock.     Ellora is 30km away from Aurangabad and it will take a hour to reach the place. Driver will drop off at Ellora caves.

    After reaching the caves, you will explore magnificent Ellora with licensed guide. There are three types of caves dedicated to Hinduism, Buddism and Jainism. The Ellora caves are an impressive complex built between the 6th and 10th century AD near the ancient Indian village of Ellora. These caves have slightly less dramatic setting than those at Ajanta, but they have more exquisite sculptures. It also got carvings about the important mythological stories of Hinduism, which are Ramayana and Mahabharata. Ellora is a world heritage and the most visited ancient monument in Maharashtra. It takes around 3 to 4 hours to visit the caves.

Sites are beautiful. Driver drove safe. Guide is booked at elora caves. He had a lot of information about the history. Also the jainism cave are worth seeing. The rest of the sights you explore on your own. Please take note that you need a hat, sunblock and lots of water.

Thanks to Akvin tourism we spent splendid and interesting day in Ellora Caves with enthusiastic local guide and careful driver. We visited Amrut Tirth or Ahilyabai Holkar Talav (Hindu temple nearby) as well, humble Aurangzeb's tomb in Khuldabad and a large Daulatabad Fort. 100% recommendation!
